Based in Copenhagen, Denmark, ReFlow is a software solution provider of an AI integrated environmental platform, to help users find their most accurate carbon footprint. Here at ReFlow, we utilize second-generation lifecycle-based assessments– meaning we value a digital, scientific, granular approach compared to traditional assessments.
While originally maritime-based, we’ve received interest across a range of industries and heard their concerns and demands for reducing their overall emissions in the transition to a greener circular economy.
ReFlow has already been working with some of the largest brands within maritime, but now you can now find us empowering an array of other companies across industries throughout their value chain, from construction to cosmetics, via our easy-to-use digital platform.
With future EU and international regulations projected to further restrict emissions across the value chain, we aim to help companies meet upcoming standards through a shift from classical assessment methods, to that of a digitized, environmental, life cycle assessment. We provide companies a digital lens to assess and improve accountability of their Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions. We’re proud to say we’ve already helped multiple companies meet ISO compliance standards on the road towards net-zero emissions.
As a diverse team spanning 8 nationalities, we are a balance of both software and environmental engineering innovators, who stay true to ourselves without sacrificing or compromising the importance of either. We believe in data and our mission is to make it easy for companies to become data-driven in a world where industrial environmental impacts on the planet are only growing.
Our transformative partnership with Grieg Green, a Norwegian leader in ship recycling, marks a strategic expansion in our mission to revolutionize how we calculate maritime environmental performance. This collaboration will establish us as key players in lifecycle data and advisory services within the maritime industry, complementing our continued dedication to heavy manufacturing, renewable energy, and other sectors.
Grieg Green, part of the Grieg Maritime Group, brings its extensive expertise and global network to our lifecycle analysis capabilities. Our digital platform efficiently tracks and improves the environmental impact of maritime products and companies, focusing on lifecycle analysis.
Our joint vision is to facilitate environmentally conscious decisions in the maritime sector. “We sought to offer data-driven and valuable services that keep our customers compliant with regulations, enable their ESG strategy, and make them more competitive. The best way to achieve this is by partnering with a data-driven software company that shares our purpose and values. We are happy to have found such a partner in ReFlow,” says Pia Meling, managing director of Grieg Green.
ReFlow’s platform enables easy-to-understand calculation of maritime products and the company’s carbon footprints, aiding in informed, sustainable decision-making across the industry’s value chain. This encompasses everything from raw material procurement to end-of-life vessel strategies.
Pia Meling will become the new Board Chair, with Vidar Lundberg from Grieg Maritime Group also joining the board. Rasmus Elsborg-Jensen continues as CEO, supported by the existing team.
Our partnership is particularly timely, considering the increasing focus on Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) for emissions and the production of low-carbon fuels, driven by stringent EU regulations like the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive.
By integrating ReFlow’s lifecycle assessments for vessels with Grieg Green’s recycling expertise and maritime knowledge, we are creating a unique offering in Lifecycle Data and Advisory Services.
“In our journey to reshape the maritime industry’s approach to sustainability, the partnership with Grieg Green marks a significant milestone. This collaboration harnesses our scientific rigor and Grieg Green’s practical expertise, creating a synergy beyond traditional maritime lifecycle analysis boundaries. Together, we are not just offering services; we are pioneering a movement towards data transparency and environmental accountability in the maritime sector” comments Rasmus Elsborg-Jensen, ReFlow’s CEO.
Grieg Green and ReFlow are committed to developing new digital services and providing essential insights for sustainable maritime decision-making, from vessel design and decarbonization to optimization and end-of-life planning.
Pia Meling concludes, “The investment in ReFlow will create considerable business, competence, and customer synergies while strengthening our purpose of creating maritime solutions for a better future.”
Our belief is rooted in the idea that if you can’t measure it, you cannot make a change.
Our lifecycle-based environmental quantification system makes it easy to calculate, document, and share environmental performance data of products. We remove the complexity around LCA-based calculations and make it possible for users with just basic product knowledge to make advanced calculations.
