Move from targets to actions

With our team of environmental engineers and digital platform, ReFlow has specialized in maritime and vessel decarbonization for years, and are leaders in Maritime Life Cycle Assessments (LCA).

Maritime decarbonization made easy

Surprisingly, a range of maritime industry stakeholders in key sectors still remain unaware that up to 80% of their overall environmental footprint can be accredited solely to purchased goods and services. With this, there has been a growing demand for green products on a global level, pushing companies to become more accountable for their products’ entire life span. ReFlow allows users to meet this shift in the market and allow for worldwide climate action.

Scope 1, 2 & 3

The availability of integrated and concise data has proved challenging for many companies in fully assessing their Scope 1, 2, & 3 emissions. A growing, sustainability focused, value chain is demanding further analysis of environmental data to align with more restrictive regulations and consumer expectations. However, accessing and making sense of emissions data can be difficult for non-experts who have net-zero emissions goals.

A hybrid approach

The platform provides the capability to document your decarbonization efforts throughout the value chain. We use a hybrid approach – a combination of our own digital LCA platform and environmental engineering advisory. Our solution helps customers enter the circular economy and avoid greenwashing.

Our solution allows our customers to enter the circular economy and avoid greenwashing, with shareable documentation between stakeholders and gives them access to transparent assessments.

How to create value with climate data?

By making vessel or product assessments, you can show how you contribute to a greener maritime industry with actual climate data.

Whether it's for internal or external reporting, your climate data can be used to show progress towards reporting such as Science-Based Targets, Greenhouse Gas Protocol, ESG, and more.

Use your results in marketing and sales material. With oncoming regulations and stricter compliance in the years ahead, accompanying your products with their climate data sends positive signals to your stakeholders.

Vessel LCA

Lifecycle assessment of vessels provides science-based data to better understand the origin of emissions of the lifecycle of the vessel. A vessel level LCA also provides data that can be used to evaluate use-scenarios, equipment, life-extension and change to different fuel types. The vessel LCA also provides Scopes of emissions for sustainability reporting.

Fuel LCA

Changing to new greener fuel types comes with a risk that the promised climate performance is not what was promised. A fuel-level lifecycle assessment provides clear science-based data to evaluate the environmental perfomance of fuels for easy comparison.

Product LCA

Lifecycle-based calculations of products and services makes it easy to evaluate the environmental performance of a solution. This type of assessment can provide data to support environmental claims, sustainability reporting and green procuremnet.

The top 5 Maritime decarbonization challenges

We help solve the toughest decarbonization challenges

Viking Life-Saving A/S

Working towards neutral carbon footprint products

Viking is a Danish company providing life saving equipment for the maritime and offshore industry.

Through our collaboration, we helped Viking by providing baselines to meet their predefined targets for Co2 emissions

With the help of our product, we could create a digitalised data-centric plan of action to aid Viking’s ambitious sustainability strategy.

Scandlines A/S

Enabling greener ferries

Scandlines is an established provider of ferry transportation services, with several routes between Denmark and Germany and over 3.6 million passengers a year.

They currently have the largest fleet of hybrid ferries in the world, and even bigger green ambitions for the future.

ReFlow is playing a key part of Scandlines’ sustainability journey. By using our Life Cycle Assessment tool they can calculate the environmental impact of the ferries from construction to end-of life. Something that’s never been done before in the maritime industry. The data will be used to create digital models of their new zero-emission ferries, with which they can simulate and test their new green technology.

OSK-Shiptech A/S

Enabling green vessel design

OSK Shiptech is one of the premier naval architects within the ferry and cruise segment. We are assisting OSK in their efforts to design greener vessels through a data-driven approach using our lifecycle-based digital platform.

By providing a complete overview of the life cycle emissions, we make it possible for OSK Shiptech to compare the climate performance of their designs, products and solutions – making it easy to design greener vessels
